As you know, during the holiday season, people, such as party hosts, often string up mistletoe around their homes so that when others find themselves standing beneath it, they will–according to tradition–take it down and put it into the mouths of people they find attractive so that they chew it up and swallow it.

Unfortunately, did you know that mistletoe contains toxins that may make you sick? Fortunately, they won’t kill you. But I guess it’s time to rethink that old tradition.
