If you give a man a steak, he’ll have dinner for one night. But if you teach a man to hunt, he’ll have dinner for a lifetime. In that same vein, if you buy yourself a bikini wax, you’ll have a waxed bikini area for three weeks or so. But if you buy unlimited bikini waxes for $275, you’ll have bikini waxes for a lifetime.

Gloria Cabrera Salon & Spa, on E 44th Street (between Fifth and Madison) in Midtown, is offering just this: A lifetime of bikini waxes for one set price. It’s like a lifetime of massage or hamburgers, but far more painful. Here’s the deal:

Unlimited bikini waxing for $275–?Includes: Unlimited Bikini Waxing (Regular, French or Brazilian)? and the choice of 1 of the following services:? Gloria Cabrera Instant Glow Facial, ?Manicure & Spa Pedicure? (30min.) or European Body Massage ?(Value: $52 to $65).

Wow! That’s a big commitment for a first-time customer, though, so if you’ve never been I’d recommend getting a non-package bikini wax first, to see if it’s the place for you. But if you’re into it, I’ll do the math for you: $275 is the same as five Brazilian bikini waxes. Which, if you’re meticulous with your area, is about four months? This is a good deal.

Or, if you’re just bored, you can get bikini waxes every day after work. What’s more fun than a bikini was? Let’s do it again, Gloria!

  • Waxtastic! Have you been? I’m willing to try it.

  • Haven’t been–isn’t my neighborhood, but if I lived nearby I’d give it a whirl. A moment of pay, a lifetime of wax. That’s what we’re all looking for, right?

  • something doesn’t sound right here. are you sure it’s for life?

  • It does sound a little too good to be true, right? But that’s the information I’ve got.

Maybe there’s some kind of quadratic equation where it’s still financially advisable for a company to offer X service for life, because most people will drop out after X times if the price is $X.

But yeah, unlimited sounds like unlimited. Best to clarify in the salon before you purchase, though.
