7:30pm AA Bondy
In a year when the Americana-based indie-rock torch is being carried most obviously by Fleet Foxes, that band serves merely as the most recent (and freakishly talented) reminder that there are countless artists carrying on in the same tradition. AA Bondy, formerly of the late-90s Alabama-based rock band Verbena, has quietly put out one of the year’s best records. American Hearts sees Bondy working mostly on acoustic guitar, writing sparse mid-fi indie-folk that’s as sweet and warm as anything we’ve heard in ages. $10.
