Famous screen actor Delroy Lindo — who’s been in, like, everything and can currently be heard voicing one of the over-earnest dogs in Up — makes his return to the New York stage in the current production of Naomi Wallace’s new play Things of Dry Hours at New York Theatre Workshop. Set in Depression-era Alabama, the play probes the relationship between a father (Lindo) and his daughter (Roslyn Ruff) amidst crushing racial and economic stresses.
Recently, The L‘s S. James Snyder sat down with Delroy to chat about the role that brought him back to New York, his most memorable experiences on stage and why film actor’s can handle the theater. Click here to read the interview. Things of Dry Hours continues through June 28.
