L Magazine intern John Bilstein:
When Across The Universe came out in 2007, I was almost certain that forty-five years of Beatlemania were coming to a close. I was dead wrong, of course, but now two years later, the end once again may be in sight. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were on hand at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles yesterday to reveal more details about The Beatles: Rock Band, including a trailer and a short track list.
And rom the looks of it, not only does this game allow you to play a bunch of Beatles songs on plastic instruments (which are designed to look just like the ones the Fab Four actually played!), but you get to recreate the entire Beatles’ journey as well, from a bar in Liverpool to the rooftop performance at Apple Studios. Interestingly, the drumbeats on the game literally all look the same, which means either they recorded the trailer on an easy skill level, or this is just confirmation that Ringo kinda sucks at drums.
