Basketball Book Nerds to Try Hand at Fantasy Football

Jack Kerouac, football

I already told you about WORD Bookstore‘s charmingly bookish summer basketball league; well, now they’re trying their hand at fantasy football (which I really can’t stand, frankly, as it combines the two dullest obsessions of the pudgy American male: statistics and proxy competition). Now, if WORD starts up a street hockey league, I will love them forever and ever…

Of course, now is the time to start punning literary fantasy football team names. I’ll get things started:

A Remembrance of Downs Past
Less Than Zero and Inches

[Btw, that would be father-of-fantasy-sports Jack Kerouac running the ball in his youth. No joke.]
