As Halloween approaches every year, one is bombarded by a plethora of different forms of media evoking the spooky feel of this pagan celebration. There are the endless new and rediscovered horror movies, the inevitable playing of certain ghoulish anthems, and even the odd Halloween pageant. But what about the written word?
