Thinking People Will Care, Mase Plans to Release 5 Mixtapes in One Day

Beloved mid-90s rapper, part-time preacher and, from the looks of the mixtape cover at right, Photoshop comedian Mase (or Ma$e, if you’re into that) is still working on a years-long comeback. Last month the hip-hop blogosphere registered a minor bleep when Mase showed up to a radio station while P. Diddy was doing an interview and demanded that he sign papers to release Mase from his contract with Bad Boy, which Diddy, um, did(dy).

That move no doubt facilitated Mase’s next move, word of which came today via HipHopWired. The latest phase in the smooth-talking MC’s comeback will reportedly hit next Friday (November 20), when Mase floods the free mixtape market with five mixtapes on the same day. Dubbed (hilariously) I Do The Impossible, the five-disc mixtape will be hosted by an international slate of five different DJs. Try to contain your excitement for the next week, and I’ll let you know on the 20th whether or not Mase did in fact do the impossible.
