Because I can’t seem to find the good in life today, here is a sad local news item that might serve as a cautionary tale for those of you prepared to risk it all for a small piece of electronics. Shem Herman, a 33-year-old music writer, was killed on Monday trying to salvage his dropped iPod from the subway tracks at 110 St. He is survived by his wife, Claribel Espinosa, and a two-year-old son, Dylan. People, don’t jump on the subway tracks to save your digital devices, only do it for people. Ok?
(And if you weren’t bummed before, just do a google image search for “depression.” Oh how we are tacky in our sadness.)
