Banksy’s “Street Art Disaster Movie” To Premiere at Sundance

Banksy, the famous loved/hated street artist and provocateur, will premiere his first film, Exit Through the Gift Shop, at Sundance (which starts today). Judging by the trailer (below), it’s a slightly annoying piece of agitprop, kind of like Jackass for street artists, with attendant grumpy old men yelling “get off my [insert private property of choice].” On the other hand, all the night-time footage of tagging, pasting and postering looks interesting and imitable, plus the folks at Wooster Collective liked it, so we’ll just have to wait and see. (The film’s official site just says “coming soon.”)
