The South African artist William Kentridge, who was recently New Yorker profiled and is about to be MoMA retrospectived, is also one of the artists featured in the current fifth season of PBS’s art:21 series. The art:21 blog recently posted footage of a visit to Kentridge’s Johannesburg studio that looks like it ends in disaster, until you realize that the whole point of the work was to document its undoing. His MoMA show, including similar video projects, opens on February 24.
