The new super-video for both of the Black Eyed Peas’ most recent singles, “Imma Be” and “Rock That Body” (embedded after the jump), dropped yesterday, and it’s even more epic than the last. Though it starts with embarrassing raps from Fergie and will.i.am (“Imma be a brother but my name ain’t Lehman/Imma be a bank/I be loaning out semen”), by the time we segue into the second track (around 5:45) it’s actually quite enjoyable.
And in case you don’t dig the intensely auto-tuned choruses, squeaky-clean production and throwaway verses, there’s plenty of eye-candy in the form of two 50-foot-tall robots breakdancing like humans while the Peas do the robot—imagine if Michael Bay had directed the video for Jason Nevins’ remix of Run-DMC’s “It’s Like That“. It’s also a little bit like that time the Beastie Boys took on the Backstreet Boys on MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch. Whatever happened to Celebrity Deathmatch?
