As previously reported, the Boston-bred MC and adoptive Brooklynite Guru, one half of seminal hip-hop duo Gang Starr, recently came out of a medically-induced coma after going into cardiac arrest and undergoing surgery. Now, HipHopDX reports that Guru has been diagnosed with anoxia, an extreme and acute type of hypoxia that basically means his body is drastically deprived of oxygen, which presumably means not good things for his rap career since, you know, breath control is kind of important. No word yet on plans for a comeback album, but we’re not… holding our breath (sorry Guru, get better!). Guru Out of Coma,
