A 25-year-old Bronx man was arrested on Sunday for illegal possession of an all-access subway key. The keys, which open up every subway gate and are normally given to cops and certain transit workers, have been showing up in the hands of regular folks with increasing frequency: 33 were confiscated last year and 15 have been seized already this year.

The guy yesterday (dumb-ass) was caught because he was using the key to sell people $1 rides. He claims he bought the key for $50 from a transit worker, and now he’s sad because he’s going to have to pay money again to ride the subway. Moral of the story? Don’t get greedy with your magical subway key.
