Watch the Nine Minutes-Long Ginger Genocide Video for M.I.A.’s “Born Free”

The track “Born Free” showed up online on Friday, and director Romain Gavras apparently polished off the visuals for the first track off M.I.A.’s upcoming, still untitled record (due June 29) over the weekend. It’s an epic and extremely bleak immigration allegory with ample Holocaust analogies set in Los Angeles, and involving a police raid and the execution of illegal gingers—M.I.A. is nowhere to be seen. There’s lots of violence and slow motion, brief flashes of a naked overweight couple and absolutely no hope. Happy Monday morning! (Fubiz)
