- America says: Down with this sort of thing!
I Love You, Phillip Morris, starring Jim Carrey as a con-man and Ewan McGregor as Phillip Morris, his lover, was written and directed by Bad Santa duo John Requa and Glenn Ficarra; it played at Sundance and Cannes in 2009 and got fair-to-positive notices.
The film was reedited to be less, you know, gay, after its fest-circuit run. It finally found a US distributor—the previously nonexistent Consolidated Pictures Group. The film was scheduled for a limited release on March 26, and was then pushed back to April 30. Its release has now been postponed “indefinitely.”
The title of this post is, of course, a trick question.
