“An 84-year-old Connecticut woman says she won’t appeal a judge’s ruling that denied her a share of a $500,000 lottery jackpot won by her 87-year-old sister,” the AP reports. She “began waging a legal battle five years ago against her sister, saying they signed a contract a decade earlier to split gambling and lottery profits,” but the judge agreed with the older Jackpot-winning sister’s contention that “the deal to share winnings ended in 2004 during a spat over a few hundred dollars.”
