This Wednesday night is the fourth installment of “Movie Bowl,” the event at which we here at the L Magazine team up with The Brooklyn Bowl to hold hands and cry a little as we watch a nostalgic and classic movie that reminds us why we entered a business that appreciates music and showing up late to work. This month’s free screening will be Empire Records, a coming-of-age story about the colorful employees at a record shoppe that launched Liv Tyler’s wildly successful career (the movie, not the record shoppe). There will also be $2 Brooklyn Lagers served throughout the film so that you can drink enough to sing along with Renée Zellweger without breaking a 20. The movie starts at 8pm. C U there.
