Jesus Christ: Arcade Fire to Play Madison Square Garden

06/01/2010 1:37 PM |

Just announced: The day after their new album, The Suburbs, hits shelves, the Arcade Fire will perform at Madison Square Garden, which is a very large circular building in midtown where sports teams and The Who play. Notice there’s an off-day between the New York show and the Maryland show? They’re totally playing Bruar Falls. (Or, more likely, Madison Square Garden for a second consecutive night.) Pre-sale tickets are supposedly available right now, but I can’t find them, so either they’re already gone or they’re not yet available. Here are the other U.S. dates, should you be looking to follow them around, which, god, you actually might be:

August 1 – Boston – Bank of America Pavilion
August 2 – Philadelphia – Mann Center for the Performing Arts*
August 4 – New York – Madison Square Garden*
August 6 – Washington DC – Merriweather Post Pavilion*
August 9 – Nashville – Ryman Auditorium
August 11 – Atlanta – Verizon Wireless Amphitheater at Encore Park*

* w/ Spoon.

UPDATE: A spokesperson for the band says pre-sale tickets won’t be available until 10am tomorrow. Good luck, you guys!
