This year’s Northside Festival has movies, too, as we’ve been previewing for you in the run-up to this Thursday’s opening night. Here, we look at what our copresenters at IFC Films have planned.

At 8pm on Saturday, June 26, we’ll be showing Todd Solondz’s Life During Wartime, followed by a Q&A with the permanent enfant terrible himself. Reviewing the film during its festival run last fall, indiewire’s Eric Kohn noted the director’s “gravely entertaining touch” and “droll satiric aura” remain intact through “his favorite narrative themes — pedophilia, suicide and… suburban discontent.”
