Films are new to the Northside Festival lineup this year, as The L and a number of partners present indie hits and sneak previews. Screenings are at indieScreen, the new theater on Kent Avenue, and you can waltz in with your badge in hand, or else buy tickets to individual screenings. We’ve previously previewed the selections from The L, Film Comment and BAM; here’s indiewire‘s presentation.

Northside Film kicks off at 8pm on Thursday, June 24 at 8pm with this Manhattan indie, followed by a Q&A with debuting director Zeina Durra—”Sundance’s most fascinating filmmaker.” The film is an art-world comedy set in the post-9/11 security state; if you’re having a hard time picturing what that looks like, the trailer is after the jump.
