The AP stringer hired to keep up with Sarah Palin’s Facebook updates reports that the highly compensated public speaker was recently excited to have been invited to London, by parties offering to arrange a meeting with the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, one of Palin’s “political heroines,” whom she “would love” to meet.

Margaret Thatcher—”The Iron Lady”—was head of the Conservative Party from 1975 to 1990; for the last eleven years she served as Britain’s first and thus far only female head of state. In summer of 2008, her daughter Carol revealed that Lady Thatcher had been suffering from dementia since 2000.
