The food co-op long planned for the Fort Greene area, which eventually settled on a location in Clinton Hill close to Bed-Stuy and reasonably convenient to Prospect Heights, is proceeding apace: Brownstoner reports that members unanimously approved the nonspecifically “generous” terms for a lease of 18-24 Putnam Ave (pictured).

The Green Hill Food Co-op also accepting memberships now—there’s a one-time buy-in of $175 (with other plans for lower-income would-be members), and members will likely be required to contribute 3 hours of work a month, or so, once the Co-op opens, likely in 2011.
