Hey, so, there’s this band, Stornoway, who has a song called “Watching Birds.” Songwriter Brian Briggs sings line, “Oh, it’s a Monday night in June/And I should be sleeping/But it’s so damn warm inside/I’m in the garden dreaming” over double-time drumming, and it’s like he relates to what we’re going through here in New York. It’s really hot outside. Now there’s a video, with wrestlers and chess playing and hula hoops.

This one is good too, for their unfortunately named song, “Zorbing.” Both tracks are from their debut record, Beachcomber’s Windowsill, out now via 4AD.
