In just two short weeks, on October 7th, HBO will air The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town, in anticipation of this, which is being released just in time for my birthday. It ain’t no sin to be glad you’re alive, people. [via Rolling Stone]

  • whoa! sticker shock! this thing is expensive… Born to Run box was half of this, $20 right now on amazon. I will still probably get this, but damn. Selling point for me is the live footage from the 70s. Candy’s Room from 78, how can you beat this?

  • With the much-anticipated release of the commemorative box set for Darkness on the Edge of Town slated for this November, Bruce Springsteen’s classic record is getting renewed attention in the music world. Fans are surely hungry for all the historic material they can get from the 1978 recording sessions and subsequent tour.
