Being a world-renowned artist isn’t all art cars, toddler clothes, body cream, medical equipment, luxury skater gear and so on. Every so often a guy’s gotta get down on all fours and do something for the dogs. Painters David Hockney, Ed Ruscha, Robert Longo, Ross Bleckner, Chuck Arnoldi and Kenny Scharf (pictured) have designed dog food bowls for an auction in L.A. next week to benefit PAWS/LA, which helps disabled and senior citizens care for their pets. Chow down on the rest of the set after the jump.

Ed Ruscha, obviously:

So how much for all this furry flatware? Each item has an estimated value of between $2,500 and $3,500. Doggone it! (CMonster)
