On a scouting outing up in Westchester, Scouting NY spotted an unusual lawn ornament in someone’s front yard: Tony Rosenthal‘s “Alamo” sculpture. The privately owned edition isn’t listed on Rosenthal’s website, though presumably it’s more recent than the work’s original iteration, which sits and spins in Astor Place. A closer view after the jump.

As Scout points out, the Weschester version looks a little less textured and complex than the East Village version, which, —insert Westchester blandness joke here.
