You’re already getting sick of hearing about them, aren’t you? I know, and I’m sorry, but it’s going to get much, much worse before it gets better, as the promotional machine behind their new album, Angles, really gets into gear. Today, we get a video for the album’s first single, “Under Cover of Darkness,” and it’s perfectly enjoyable and Strokesy. Julian wears funny sunglasses, Fab rocks black drum sticks and a tight new haircut, Nikolai continues to have the blankest stare in all of rock and roll, and Albert dresses all in white, while the rest of the band is dressed almost entirely in black, which I think we should take to mean that, like Paul McCartney before him, he’s actually dead. Or a religious person or something? Whatever. What this band needs right now is a really awesome hoax.
