All-You-Can-Eat Mussels, $1 Oysters at Shellfish Happy Hours in Williamsburg

Honestly, I usually delete the deluge of happy hour and restaurant deal emails that flood my inbox. This one, however, was too good not to share. Cadaques, the handsome Spanish tapas bar in Williamsburg, just started up one of the more intriguing happy hour deals in Brooklyn. Everyday from 5pm to 7pm, the restaurant is offering all-you-can-eat mussels, which are steamed in a saffron broth with chorizo, parsley and shallots, with a glass of white wine for only $14. I don’t know about you, but I know I can eat a hell of a lot of mussels in two hours and I trust David Bouley-trained chef Guillaume Thivet to prepare them with care. If that wasn’t enough, the regular two-for-one drink deal still applies at the bar.

If that isn’t enough cheap shellfish to satisfy you, you might want to hit up nearby Maison Premiere beforehand. The beautiful oyster/absinthe bar serves all of its 30 different oysters, including plump West Coast varieties like the Hama Hama and Kumomoto, for only $1 Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm. Did someone say Williamsburg shellfish crawl?
