Last year the French street artist and photographer JR won the $100,000 TED Prize, and used the cash to launch the Inside Out project, in which participants submit their black and white portraits and, eventually, receive a large poster from the artist to paste however they please. This month, Brooklyn Street Art notes, many have appeared on Park Slope stoops.

About a dozen Slope posters can be seen on the Inside Out project website, effectively marking JR’s first New York show in five years—his work tends to be focused in slums and cities in developing countries or nations at war—although he’s one of the artists featured in Art in the Streets, so will likely be back in town next year when that show opens at the Brooklyn Museum.

As of right now over 3,700 photos have been uploaded to the Inside Out project, and fewer than 150 posters have been put up, so expect many more to appear around the borough.
