I’m not sure if this is the first time for a band to premiere music on Turntable.fm or not, but it’s worth noting, nonetheless, that Slow Club, a Sheffield-based duo who pull off adorably upbeat (and also adorably heartbroken) folk-pop without being annoying, will be debuting new tracks from their forthcoming album, Paradise, today at 2pm in Paste Magazine‘s Turntable room. They’ll be up in there, DJing and chatting with fans, bringing the term “listening party” to mean something slightly different than in the olden days of human contact.

The irony, of course, is that Turntable.fm is not yet available in England, so, oops, sorry Slow Club neighbors, you’re going to have to wait for the album to leak before its release date on September 13 to hear it. Until that day comes, you can check out the single “Two Cousins” below. I look forward to bobbing my green brussel sprout avatar head to it in the Paste Virtual Club later this afternoon.
