Another weekend, another chance to stuff your face with food. If you’re looking for something cheap, you might want to head over to Williams & Bailey, the new Williamsburg whiskey bar that’s currently serving up the same delicious broiled Black Angus burger as the East Village’s Royale. Some other things that you should put on your must-eat list: turducken and oyster po’boys, both available at new Astoria spot William Hallet. What else should you be eating?

Saturday

Brooklyn Based brings news of an ice cream social at Cobble Hill beer bar Local 61. Steve’s Ice Cream will be serving beer-themed flavors like Beer Pretzel Caramel and Maple Pecan Porter, which will be available in float form with your choice of Kickstand Coffee, soda or beer. Each float you buy gets you a raffle ticket, where you can win things like Oslo coffee and knives from Cut Brooklyn.

Sunday

Books + beer + BBQ = a pretty good summer afternoon. On Sunday from 4pm to 8pm at Pete’s Candy Store, $10 gets you a burger, veggie burger or hot dog with salad and sides, plus the knowledge that you’re helping Urban Librarians Unite support the New York Public Library. There will also be quirky raffle prizes courtesy of the Vermont Country Store and, we’ve been assured, “a convivial air.” Indeed.
