As we, the Animal Collective-loving indie nation, hunker down until the arrival of their next release, we look towards local tropical tinkerers Body Language to appease the wait. Or, at least we should. Last year, in an interview with Spinner, the Bed Stuy-based clan classified their music as “electrotropicalidiscodancingfun,” and while this fall’s Social Studies EP makes good on the promise of maxed-out bass and disco, the tracks “Tempoture” and “Seeds of Sight” completely indulge the exotic, otherworldly cravings that AnCo fulfill.
