Yesterday, police arrested a 32-year-old Queens man in connection with the series of sexual assaults that have shaken up Park Slope, Windsor Terrace and Sunset Park, the Post reports. The collar comes less than a week after another man, 26-year-old Adolfo Martinez of Sunset Park, was arrested in connection with at least one of the 20 assaults since March.
At 3:15 a.m. Monday morning, walking along parked cars on 17th Street between 10th and 11th avenues, Flecha was stopped by police, who thought he might be trying to steal a car; Flecha was watching a pornographic video on his cell phone with his fly unzipped (according to the Times; the Post missed this detail). Flecha also had marijuana on him, for which he was arrested. Police believed he resembled one of the sex-attackers’ sketches and included him a line-up out of which he was picked by the victim of a May assault on a woman at the F train’s Seventh Avenue station, whose assailant groped her breasts and masturbated.
Police believe as many as four men may be responsible for the spate of attacks. No word yet on which of the several sketches police believed he resembled.
