Last week, with generous support from presenting sponsor AT&T, we gathered together a handful of very nice, smart people for the inaugural installment of our Music Now Summit. Our goal, you see, was to have an open discussion about the countless ways technology has affected the way we interact with music on a daily basis—in our professional lives, yes, for those of us who make some sort of living at this stuff, but also in our personal lives, as fans and voracious consumers of music. It was, by our own accounts anyway, a huge success: our panelists had no shortage of insightful commentary, and the audience was remarkably engaged, playing an active role in shaping the direction of the evening. The booze, lovingly provided by Sixpoint, did some of that too, I suppose. Over the next few days, we’ll be rolling out photos and video of the night’s performances, from Ted Leo and Brooklyn band Friends, but for now, we give you videos of five of our favorite moments.
