The second annual NYC Vegetarian Food Festival is coming up again, and it’s going to be the one day of the year where vegetarians don’t have to take crap for not eating meat. That’s because, for five bucks, it’s going to be a veritable smorgasbord of veggie vendors up in this piece, and by piece I mean the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street from 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
But aside from stuffing your gullet with all the feel-good reasons you decided to go veggie in the first place, there’s actually a pretty neat schedule of events, too. On Saturday morning, the festival will be hosting a classical Egyptian style belly dance class, as well as cooking demos and live music throughout the weekend.
All proceeds from the event will go to For the Animals, a farm animal sanctuary located in Blairstown, New Jersey. Now go and watch this super adorable video of Herbie, one of the sanctuary’s baby steers, get really excited about a volleyball after the jump.
