Brooklyn native Busta Rhymes will be headlining this year’s Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, happening July 9th to the 14th.

This is the 8th year of the festival, organized by the folks behind the Brooklyn Bodega blog. It’s something of a natural continuation from last year’s edition, where Rhymes surprised a Williamsburg Waterfront crowd by joining Q-Tip for a performance of the classic Tribe Called Quest single, “Scenario.” (Other surprise guests at that show included Kanye West, Monie Love, and Black Thought.) Busta and Bodega will be filling out the rest of the lineup in days to come, but general tickets are on sale now.

After the jump, watch last year’s “Scenario” performance, get your daily recommended dose of fish-eye lens by watching 1996 video “Woo Hah!! (Got You All in Check)” for the first time in forever, and then the Ol’ Dirty Bastard version out of respect. (For the record, ODB is the only correct answer to the question: “Who would be our best hologram option for this?”)
