It looks like Laurie’s Planet of Sound in Chicago won’t be much of a help, per the handwritten addendum to their “DO NOT EVER BUY” list pictured up there at the top. Intended as a guide for employees who worked at the used record shop a few years ago, the list was posted on the store’s Facebook page the other day “as kind of a lark,” manager Nick Myers told Mashable, though totally legit. “That was stuff that had been here for a year or two, titles or artists we can’t sell.” Needless to say, it’s making the Twitter rounds to see who can come up with the best joke about 10,000 Maniacs. Though, really, aren’t a surplus of Jewel, Fastball and at least two Tripping Daisy CDs the defining mark of a used record store?
