So by now, you might have heard that we’re throwing a party next Friday, August 17, ushering in the end of sweet, sweet summer. It’s a little something we’re calling DUMBO Summer Friday, which only seems appropriate as it’s in DUMBO (under the archway!) on a Friday (August 17!), and in case you’ve forgotten, it’s summer (it’s so hot). However, the anticipation is proving to be a little too much for us, so here’s a preview of the shindig that’s to come. After the jump, find some of our favorite music videos from the bands you’ll be partying with, and be sure to mark your calendars: Friday, August 17, from 2pm to 9pm, under the DUMBO archway (at the corner of Anchorage Place and Water Street). A sincere thanks to Councilman Stephen Levin, O Music Awards Unboxed and the DUMBO Improvement District for making DUMBO Summer Friday happen.

1. Javelin
Ok, so this isn’t any ordinary music video. While on tour through the American southwest, Javelin members George Langford and Tom Van Buskirk were so moved by the desert landscape that it inspired this short film entitled Canyon Candy. Settle in for the next 16 minutes and watch it enfold:

2. Prince Rama
The Brooklyn-based, psychedelic sisters of Prince Rama are pretty recent SummerScreen alums, and we’re pretty jazzed to see them again so soon. Here’s a peek of “Golden Silence” off of their record Trust Now.

3. Zambri
Speaking of sister acts, Christy Jo and Jessica Zambri will be on hand as another blood related-duo called, simply enough, Zambri. Here we have a video for their song “ICBYS” off their album House of Baasa, released earlier this year on Kanine Records.

4. Bosco Delrey
Fresh off his signing with Mad Decent, not to mention a tour with Sleigh Bells, is Bosco Delrey. Check out the video below for “Baby’s Got a Blue Flame,” off his debut album Everybody Wah.
