It’s Friday, it’s the last days of summer, and everyone you know is out of town. But don’t give up on the season just yet, readers! On Friday, August 17 we’ll re-ingnite your passion for late summer evenings with DUMBO Summer Friday, a free evening of music, art and technology underneath the DUMBO Archway brought to you by The L Magazine, The DUMBO Improvement District and The O Music Awards Unboxed. We’ll have performances by Javelin, Prince Rama, Zambri, Bosco Delrey and more, and the best news is that it’s totally free!
Smorgasburg vendors will be on hand to feed you, and there will be DUMBO tech demonstrators on hand showing off the latest apps to keep you relevant. Artist Laura Vitale will have her sound installations on full display too; her piece “Plaster” plays with the audio-visual qualities of gypsum plaster. Plus, the whole event will be streamed on OMusicAwards.com, which means you’ll be totally internet famous.
So come join the party on Friday, August 17 starting at 2pm underneath the DUMBO archway (at the corner of Anchorage Place and Water Street). The festivities start at 2pm and we’ll keep the music going until 9pm.
Special thanks to Councilman Stephen Levin for his support of DUMBO Summer Friday!
