After months of speculation, the 2014 Coachella lineup has officially been announced and we’re proud to say that NYC (and especially Brooklyn) is extremely well-represented. Here, a rundown of the acts that will make an appearance at the iconic music festival this spring.

A$AP Ferg

The 25-year-old painter-turned clothing designer-turned “Rookie of the Year” rapper and member of A$AP Mob will perform songs from his debut album, Trap Lord, released in August 2013.

Though they’ve been active since 2011, this boy-girl poptronica outfit released their debut album, Secondhand Rapture, last May. You can catch them at the Barclay’s Center on February 1 or Terminal 5 on March 26.

Jon Spencer Blues Explosion

Led by former Pussy Galore frontman Jon Spencer, this alt-rock band will draw from the seven studio albums they’ve released since forming in 1991. Don’t be surprised if any one of their many collaborators like Cat Power and Beck make appearances.

Flatbush Zombies

The Brooklyn-based rap group will appear on the strength of their mixtapes, D.R.U.G.S. and BetterOffDEAD, released in 2012 and 2013. #beastcoast

Singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield proved to be one of the best folk musicians 2013 had to offer. Let’s hope her twin sister, Allison (of Swearin’), drops by to perform their gorgeous cover of Grimes’ “Oblivion.”

What can we really say about Nas that hasn’t already been said? He’s twenty years into his career and still draws an enthusiastic crowd. There’s no stopping the man.

Kid Cudi

The Brooklyn by-way-of Cleveland rapper hasn’t quite been able to out-do 2009’s Man On The Moon (Remember when you couldn’t walk around the corner without hearing “Day ‘n’ Nite?”), but he’s still hard at work, releasing Indicud in April 2013 and appearing in a number of films and TV show since.

Sleigh Bells

The noise pop duo dropped last year’s Bitter Rivals so suddenly it made our heads spin. There’s no doubt that their Coachella show will be absolutely explosive.

These Ivy Leaguers first collaborated during the European leg of Nicolas Jaar’s solo tour. Their ambient self-titled EP was a hit and their debut LP, Psychic, has been equally successful.
