Get a seasoned pro on pig roasting to help

Wrangle a chef-friend, or a hog-wild home cook who's tackled the job before or has been involved with a pig roast somehow in the past. Make sure you have at least two strong men to help out, too — whole pigs are heavy, and you'll need to lift the beast several times throughout the course of preparing it.
