No one orders slices at L&B Spumoni Gardens — so save face, go with a crowd, and order a whole or half tray of Sicilian-style squares. Then kick back in the courtyard with a vibrantly-colored cup of vanilla, chocolate and pistachio spumoni — it may not taste great to anyone weaned on Van Leeuwens, but for the rest of us, it’s pure South Brooklyn nostalgia.
