Tomorrow the Village Voice will host the second annual Brooklyn Pour
, a beer festival held at Skylight One Hanson (the old Williamsburg Bank building) in Fort Greene. Over 65 of the most renowned craft breweries in world will be on hand, offering samples of hundreds of beers. There will be discussions and demos on all sorts of beer-related pursuits, from how to cook with it to how to make your own at home. And, of course, there will be food: Der Scwarze Kolner
will be serving up sausage and pretzels, Lucky 777 Chili
will meet your chili dog needs, and Chez Lola
will provide sliders—all easily eaten with one hand, an important distinction for such an event.
As for the beer itself, well, pretty much every brewery you've ever heard of will be there, as well as a ton you probably haven't. It's not difficult to predict which tables will be the most crowded: One assumes everyone will be giddy at the possibility that Goose Island will have brought with them even a small sampling of their freshly released Bourbon County Brand Stout. Dogfish Head will probably have something crazy going on, and Sixpoint will likely draw a crowd as well. Here, though, are a few more breweries you should check out, assuming, of course, you've already gotten tickets. Both sessions are now officially sold out.
