It shouldn't come as a real surprise, however. In addition to its widespread use as a general remedy for things like unfamiliar social situations and coping with the present, alcohol has a storied, if occasionally sketchy, history of medicinal use. Which is good, because a handle of even the top shelf stuff is still way cheaper than health insurance. Let's look at a few of the better strategies.
