Scrambled Eggs with Kale Pesto; Brucie
Brucie is one of our favorite Brooklyn restaurants, and serves the kind of farm-to-table food that Brooklyn has late become famous for. So do they have a delicious kale salad? Of course they do. Brucie's version is full of raisins, parmesan, pistachios, and mint, making it a great mix of earthy and bright flavors. Delicious! But our favorite thing they do with kale is the kale pesto used in the scrambled eggs dish that's served at brunch. These eggs also come with house ricotta, potatoes, and red cabbage, but we especially love the touch of the garlicky kale pesto. Because sometimes you want a lot of kale (in which case, get the salad), and other times, you just want it to accent everything else. For those times? Get these scrambled eggs.
