What are the three (inanimate) things you'd save first in a fire?
Really good question. I would probably first save this leather vest my brother, Will, made for me. He hand-stitched it with an awl and used a buffalo hide my dad gave him. The next thing I would save is this sheepskin rug that was tanned by a friend in Texas. He used the animals’ brains to soften it as opposed to chemical tanning. The method takes weeks to do and is really difficult with sheepskins because they are so thick. Next would be letters. Actually that would be first. I have a binder that I file letters or even text messages sometimes that are important to me. #embarrassing.

I know you only asked for three but I would also take my pillow. When I was a kid I didn’t have a special blanket but I had this special pillow. There are very few feathers left inside it now. Recently, I sewed it into a small silk pillowcase so it is safer.

What's your favorite room your home?
My favorite place in my home is the pillow corner. I used to have a couch there but these days I feel like I need to be on the floor more. Maybe because it feels grounding? I mostly use it to watch movies or read or rest.

If you suddenly received a windfall of cash, what changes would you make to your space?
Hard to say. Maybe marble drawers?

If you could move your house/block/neighborhood to another city, which one would it be, and why?
Probably the moon because I have always wanted to feel weightless. Plus, it would feel really good to let my comforters float in the air and try to cuddle with them.
