Pencils For the Most Obsessive of Brooklynites

From Steely Dan to Jay-Z to The Black Keys, there is no shortage of songs about Brooklyn. But what about songs about our borough…plastered on pencils? Now we’ve got that, too, thanks to the fine folks at By Brooklyn.
The everything-local general store is stocking a series of brightly hued writing utensils, bearing the most famous lyrics from The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Juicy” and Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep till Brooklyn.” Even if you’re not gearing up to go back to school this September, you can’t really argue with writing to-do lists and making your mid-conference call doodles with a pencil reminding you to “spread the love—it’s the Brooklyn Way.” Amen, Biggie, amen.
