The sisters work together seamlessly (frequently finishing each other’s sentences and sharing the easy intimacy of the closest siblings), with Kim handling the business end of the company and Nicole doing the designing. But the family connection goes back a little farther. When Nicole and Kim were trying to figure out how they were going to start the company and produce the first pieces, they repurposed some of their mother’s vintage gold jewelry (which was from the 80s and had not, let’s say, stayed stylish) to make their collection. And while this family business might have started small in Williamsburg just a few years ago, it has expanded in a big way, with Sorellina jewelry spotted on Florence Welsh and Emma Roberts, among others.
