Someone Punched a Cop at the McCarren Pool

After an opening marked by long lines, sweltering heat, and lifeguard-attacking teenagers, someone punched a cop yesterday at the newly renovated McCarren Pool. Are we having fun yet?
Three "youths" were reportedly arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, and, in one case, assaulting an officer after refusing orders to stop running and jumping into shallow water at the pool. Kids these days! Reportedly, four different lockers were also broken into that same day.
If the unending stream of bad news coming from McCarren still hasn't deterred you from going for a trendy, crowded swim, at least be sure to pack a shiv along with your towel, okay? Stay safe out there!
